yes, but there have been millions of nameless, unknown, never-famous Marines... only one White Feather.
Famous for marksmanship alone.
Carlos Hathcock fits that bill.

Hathcock was a Marine first and a marksman second. I read that in his book.

I worked with a retired Marine who served in the Corps twenty years. He spent part of his first tour in Vietnam in Hathcock's unit.

I asked him if all that I'd heard about his marksmanship abilities was true. He said yes. The man was scary if he was that good.

Carlos Hathcock could very well be the finest marksman this country ever produced.
