I find a bit of irony here.

Why do the gays scream "minority," i.e. they are what, 10% (or is it 15% now) of the population?

But then, a network decides to "cater" to this "minority." Business wise, this doesn't make much sense.

Either it's a stupid move financially, or (what I think) there are more gays out there. It's the loudest darned "10%" (or whatever) there is.

3 million people watching a television show on cable is a massive audience. If just 2% of people are gay, and just half of them watch this show. That is 3 million viewers. It is called narrow casting.

But a much larger portion of the arts community, hence the overemphasis in such circles.

My understanding is that gays make up less than 3% of the population. (...probably more than that who "experiment" but are not exclusive to their sexual preference.) Isn't it amazing that we are so innundated with gay propaganda via every single TV show (pretty much) that everyone thinks the gay population is much larger? Once again, and remaining consistent with liberal philosophy, THE TRUTH DOESN'T MATTER, IT'S PERCEPTION THAT COUNTS!

Gays are not 10 to 15 % of the population by any stretch of the imagination. That is a gay lie and popularly repeated propaganda message.

They are substantially fewer as a percentage of our population, albeit a very noisy sub-minority.

Think of the average wedding of some 150 people. In your own family, this would mean at least 15 to 20 gays present. I have two in my family. Maybe a third still hidden. Most other families are about the same. The figure is probably closer to 2-3 % of our population. 10% is a lie and exaggeration.

I have a better question: Why do our governments (Feds, local and state) bend to the whim of all the minorities out there?

Why do we make allowances for all the little minority groups out there that represent only 3 to 5 percent of the total population. We no longer live by majority rule. We now live by minority appeasement.

I’ve heard estimates that 2% –3% choose homosexuality, but who knows? With all this mass publicity they give themselves, along with the special privileges they demand from society, there could be many more – it’s the only minority category that one can choose.
