I am really bummed about this...it's hard to explain the charges to my little boys. I hope Kobe didn't do it forcibly (I was struck that the guy making the announcement twice said "victim"...what happened to "alleged victim"?).
But even if not, he's sure sunk in my book, stepping out on a wife who just had a baby, no less. He seemed like such a good guy, I've read some nice stories about his kindness to fans, etc. (His wife is from my area and occasionally kids report "Kobe sightings.")

Yeah, it is a shame. It's kind of hard to have heroes these days. Even if he is innocent , his reputation as an upstanding member of the community has been tarnished.
