Well, it takes time to test DNA, longer if done with ironclad precision. If you charge him right away, Cochran will just come in and say "rush to judgment." I'm glad they took their time, thought through the case, made their decision, and went with it.

Patrick Roy was busted for domestic violence a few years ago, he ended up shoving it down the DA's throat to the point the DA is gone. Over zealous law enforcement might be the problem here also.
