I take it that you are not a glock fan. I carried one for a couple of years and exposed it to dust, sand, motor oil, paint, horse feathers, rain, you name it. It always worked when needed, never misfired or smoked stacked, and it is light to carry. The safety works just fine. Other than the fact that the accuracy sucks what is wrong with a glock for a close range defensive weapon ?
