We gave one of those to a retiring First Sergeant...he was always grousing (in jest, I'm sure) about the number of soldiers darkening his doorway with penny-ante complaints.

Not always, Jinx. A whole bunch of people will show up at our 1SG's desk, asking dumb stuff.
He's got a sure-bang reply: "Unless you're confessing to that incident last night, I can't help you."
Young troop will give him the "deer-in-headlights" look, and leave...
