Q One question for you both. Do you believe that there is a link between Saddam Hussein, a direct link, and the men who attacked on September the 11th?
THE PRESIDENT: I can't make that claim.

Imagine that the bio WMD's could be carted around by several people. Imagine the same thing with most of the other real nasty stuff. Imagine Saddam and his crew have the stuff with them. Now, if we haven't found Saddam yet in such a short time how could you expect that we would find the WMD's.
Speaking of facists. Not that you were speaking of them in the first place. But it's the Islamofacists that are the problem. "W" isn't a facist. Neither was Clintoon for that matter. America is not a facist country. If we were we would just take what we please from any country we wanted then rape and burn the rest.

Yeah, the war was wrong, Bush is a liar, and Saddam was the bee's knees.
Thanks so much for your insight.

The physical evidence out there (flamers: do your own homework, please, it's not very difficult to find the facts) more than underlines the dangers of these fools. Sorry, pal, this "do your own homework" nonsense is a childish evasion. If you make a claim, then you're the one who must back it up.

Clarificatin to my post #61. I was referring to Bill Clintoon not being a facist. Hillary is another thing entirely.

Would he if he'd had a chance? Sure! But could he? As the truth now coming out reveals, hardly. You make a point here. So we agree, sure he would have messed with us. However, I think we disagree to his level of a threat. However, you could be very right, that I will not deny.
However, from where I'm sitting I'll never know. I'll never have access to the information that the Government has. Nor do I think that I could make the decision to go to war.
So what am I left with? In my view, two things...faith and hope. Faith that my leaders will respect the foundations of America (be they republican, democrat, or whatever), while fighting the realities that terror is very real. It can hit us at home. Also, I realize that we are the only nation that will stick it out for the long haul when it comes to fighting terror. Our friends will come and go (with the exception of Britain) as the political situation at home shifts to and fro.
Of course, these are just my opinions...I'm no expert. I hope that the justification for war is there. Not because politics demands it but because those who have gone and fought in my stead (I cannot join the service) are owed this victory.
It is very cool to talk to someone with a different opinion who isn't afraid to stick it out. You also didn't make me read an extra long missive :)

Nah, hardly confused, just opposed to it in most cases - such as instances where we are not in danger of being attacked. Clearly, any reasonable examination of the facts about Iraq's capabilities reveals that there was no imminent threat to Americans at home or abroad.
I don't accept attacking someone because they "might" harm us "sometime in the future". Heck, I thought it was innocent until proven guilty for everyone, not just who we like. Hussein was evil, I'd have been happy to put two in his head myself, but he sure wasn't about to attack us.
My opinion on the invasion would have differed if we had been told the truth, and the truth really was something like liberation, instead of the lies and hidden motives that actually drove this atrocity. Happy for the Iraqis to be rid of Hussein, but terrible concerned about where our country is headed.
Maybe it's time we drop this left-wing/right-wing label business and stick to finding out the truth?

"the liars in the current administration."
It is amazing how you lefties now love calling people "liars"
Where were you when you hero and pervert in chief was building his entire presidency on lies, and running it on the same principle?

Call me daft, but I'm a bit confused.
Did the prez really say this? If so, I find the candid honesty refreshing, and don't see the harm in it.
If he didn't say this why isn't this post pulled? Have I had too many rum and cokes?

My opinion on the invasion would have differed if we had been told the truth, All right let's go there then. And by the way, you don't have to be afraid to post to me.
You realize it has been the official policy of our nation since 1998 to enact regime change in Iraq? You already realize that we have been at a state of war with Iraq for over 12 years. Dubya has moved to end this war. He has moved on the Iraqi Liberation Act. What is the problem?

Former Clinton advisor on Iraq's PBS interview and on CNN
Funny thing is even the Administration is pointing out the connection well, I guess they are covering for 8 years of bumbling by that last guy in office.
