No, but then again, I don't want to wait till the end of the meal for someone to freshen my coffee either.
I don't want the wait staffs undivided attention. I realize that there are other paying patrons.
I would like them to, perhaps after serving someone else, stop for a second and say, "Is there anything else I can get you?", instead of walking by without even acknowledging my existence.

If they don't do that then they most definitely are not doing their job.

I worked with one girl years back, in a place with these fake-wood type salad bowls. She would literally throw the dinner salads onto the tables and be generally rude to the customers. One day I told her to just do everyone a favor and find a different job. No big surprise she was an aspiring actress ;^)
