It was my understanding that it was supposed to run on commerical television Monday (the paid spots, not the free spots). I could very well have two entirely disconnected thoughts confused, so I can't stand by that for certain.

Monday makes sense because it will have week long traction, and by the time the story gets refuted or loses steam, the Dems will be on to something else, but this whole LIED idea would still be in everyone's mind.

I have to say, though, that the whole idea that a populace can be swayed has peaked. I really don't see how Clinton politics can work any more. Remember, the 2000 election was the first Presidential election where a majority of Americans had access to the internet either at home, through the library, or at work.

The media is jumping on anything to generate revenue, but as for hard news and information, as well as opinion, people to to the internet.

This is why I think this will back-fire. Especially with Dean's remark about Bush stepping down.

Excellent. Thank you so much for explaining further. I did note that having this break on a Saturday might be good for the talk show circuit, but the viewship is lower because the people have lives to tend to.

What was Dean's comment?

I have been following the Thompson fiasco, Bush in Africa and the Iranian protests, so I missed what Dean said.

The former Vermont governor, who opposed the war, added: "The only other possibility, which is unthinkable, is that the president of the United States knew himself that this was a false fact and he put it in the State of the Union anyhow. I hope for the sake of this country that did not happen."

I found it.
