Well, some common ground after all. People (both r & d) in positions to decide who gets nominated to join the country club or rebuild a country or sell missle technology to the ChiComs generally do these things for their friends and/or campaign contributors. Its just human nature.
Wanna let them win in the name of FAIR PLAY?
You are stuck on this issue. Halliburton and Bechtel have nothing to do with defeating Iraq. They came after the fact to repair the destruction caused by the US ordnance used for the liberation of Iraq.
Ever heard Dwight D. Eisenhower's (republican) speech re: the "military-industrial complex"?

Wrong, or largely wrong. Iraq's O&G infrastructure WAS severely deteriorated PRIOR to the war from years of inaction and lack of upgrades and improvement. What do you think those contracts before the war, with Lukoil (Rusxia) and Total ElfFina (France) were partially about? Infrastructure improvment.
Bechtel is there mainly for general construction and electrical generation improvement, NOT to repair a ravaged country.
That was the most surgical war ever fought. As much damage was incurred by looting and general Iraqi rage after Sadam as was done by our bombing.

Yes I have, and I am not worried of his fears expressed therein.
