Department lawyers said the federal policy would not penalize a doctor for merely discussing marijuana with a patient -- as long as the doctor makes it clear that the drug is illegal under federal law, that federal authorities consider it dangerous and medically useless, and that the doctor is not recommending it. Doctors have freedom of speech---as long as they say what the government wants them to say. How can I vote for a president that allows such Orwellian sewage to flow from its administration?

You know how Republicrats are - they want the Supreme Court to stay out of State laws, unless they don't want the Supreme Court to stay out of State laws.

Good Lord. I think I may have to send him this. He'll be ashamed of his meager effort, scientific-minded though it was.

Oh, great. Now they're going to end up make it mandatory. ;-)The contempt the SCOTUS showed for the 10th Amendment in ruling on Lawrence vs. Texas does not give me much hope for this case.

That line of reasoning calls for an intellectual consistency not often found 'round these parts.

It looks like George Bush is going after the drug nazi vote hard and trying to prove that he is tough on drugs to distract attention from the fact that he himself is a former drug abuser and the father of two cokeheads.I know Jenna and Barbara like to party and have a good time, and God bless them for that, but I've never heard about them using coke. Do you have any evidence to back this up?

I'm glad they have their priorities straight. Instead of focusing on those minor issues like illegal immigration floods. Hooray! Bush is a "States Rights" conservative. *cough*
