Keeping the Democrats out of control for at least three or four election cycles in a row will give us a chance at a complete turnover in the judiciary. The goal here is to end liberal judicial activism. This will set liberalism back at least 40 years. It makes absolutely no sense to waste time (and votes) on third parties at this time when the only thing it accomplishes is help elect Democrats. Sorry, but that won't get the job done.

So Bush can appoint O'Connor chief justice and Al (Pro-Abort) Gonzales, one of his appointees to the Texas Supreme Court, as an associate justice? That's not going to help. But it will get Bush lots of credit for appointing the first female chief justice and the first Hispanic Supreme Court justice.

Remember, Blackmun was a Republican appointee and he wrote Roe v. Wade. O'Connor, Stevens, Souter, and Kennedy are all Republican appointees. If this is what Republicans are going to put on the Court, then there is no point in choosing them over Democrats.

You only waste your vote when you vote for what you don't believe in. If everyone who supports our principles would unite behind a genuinely conservative party, we'd have a good chance of electing candidates who share our views. Instead, we are expected to support Arlen the Specter, those two ladies from Maine, Lincoln Chafee, and other such liberals to advance a party that betrays us at every opportunity.

And to make it worse, as Stan Evans points out, "Whenever one of our people gets in a position to help us, he ceases to be one of our people."
