Only superior if money is no object, and energy efficiency is everything. At this point, the electric hybrids are just fancy toys. You would have to put several hundred thousand miles on just to break even when compared to similarly equipped cars.

One reason to get a hyrid is that you have a long commute, and they drive great! They handle much nicer than similar non-hybrid vehicles, and they are extremely quiet.

Unless you have test driven one, I wouldn't make a comparison.

My husband loves his much better than his old Mazda RX-7 sports car or his Ford Explorer.
