The Israelis fired on the Liberty, knowing full well that it was a U.S. ship and LBJ covered it up for them. I imaging the release has everything to do with making a case against Israel and nothing with smearing LBJ or democrats.

Is Israel our friend now? Perhaps. Does it excuse the Tonkin-like attack on the Liberty? No.

Nope. Ya see, there are eyewitnesses who were on the Liberty. No matter that they each seem to have a different story (as most eyewitnesses do).

It also doesn't matter that the survivors have a vested interest in their mates NOT dying from a mere mistake by the Israelis.
