Talking about redistricting and gerrymandering has always been like talking about sex in polite society. It's done in private but not talked about publicly. If the GOP made one mistake, it's admitting that it is gerrymandering the districts and that the gerrymandering is ok because the Dems did it too. You just don't talk about such things. And, it's too late now.

I have searched high and low on the Chronicle website for an archive of editorial cartoons, but it doesn't appear to exist.

Sorry 'bout that. I had copied the cartoon for my archive of redistricting articles. I went to post it and saw it had changed. Oh, well, no fret. 'Stuff' happens as they say. Just wanted to give you an fyi is all.
