I just used the last of the quart of sour cream I bought yesterday for the taters in making macaroni salad. To go with the burgers I made the other night with the 10 pounds of ground beef I bought!!!!!
Tomorrow it is chicken!!!!
I guess I'm an omnivore as well.
Later grazers.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmmm, free range, corn feed, Vegans....the other, other white meat!
Thanks
I have read that one. But my Bible says food instead of meat.
King James and Darby has it as "meat", RSV has it as "food". Strongs concordance says it can be translated either way and apparently food is more common usage of the word. However given that the next verse (4) refers to "receiving creatures", I actually think "meat" fits better.
There was an article in the last week on FR about an indian man who didn't eat food at all but just stared at the sun and drank water for substinance. But most people think he's a hoax.
Actually, I don't think I could eat a whole cow. (Not at one sitting anyway). So I'll just have a small serving.
I switched to a high fat/low carb diet (not Atkins but a variation of it) back in March and I have already dropped 51 pounds off my formerly fat body.
Cows eat grains to get fat and people eat cows to get skinny. And that really pisses the vegetarians off.
There's your problem right there. Sugar. Otherwise known as carbohydrates. That's the real killer. Not red meat. Excessive sugar causes insulin to spike in your body, converting the carbs to fat. Eliminate excess carbs (the average American consumes over 425 grams a day) in favor of protein and fat, and your body starts burning fat as fuel (instead of storing it).
As for cholesterol, the cholesterol you ingest has very little to do with the cholesterol count in your body. Not a single medical study can conclusively prove that eliminating foods high in cholesterol (such as eggs and beef) lowers your body cholesterol. In fact, your body produces its own cholesterol, whether or not you take it in as food. This is because your body needs cholesterol in order to function.
Kill It & Grill It by Ted Nugent (yes, THAT Ted Nugent.)
Actually, it is even worse than this. There is an emerging crisis in the use of SOY in America. Soy has been pushed by food Nazis as the alternatve to meat for decades, and has unfortunately shown up in thousands of products of every type. However, Soy has been linked with Thyroid dysfunction and damage, as well as other potentially dangerous health effects. This damage actually worsens obesity by greatly reducing metabolism in high-soy content eaters. There are too many links to post. Just look up Google for "soy" and "thyroid". Here is one:
The evidence of the damaging effects of Soy has been covered up by militant efforts of the vegan mafia and their accomplices in the press. DO NOT EVER give your child soy-based formula or soy-milk under any circumstances. There are lactose-free brands...PLEASE do not use soy.
I grew up on soy. I was allergic to everything. All foods except chicken and green beans and I drank Soy bean milk. All animals, all trees and grasses. I mean everything. And I turned out ok.
Both of my kids have also had some allergies although fortunately they didn't get anything like what I had. But they have both had soy milk. They seem fine.
But I'll look at the links.
Ouch - methinks you hit the nail on the head with that one.
Wasn't Hitler a known vegetarian?
When they take away my beef and chicken, I'd like a can of Dolphin and a box of Spotted Owl Helper.
"Meat" in English used to mean "food" (early middle ages, I think).
Soymilk is far less harmful than soy nuts, or soy snacks, from what I have read. The more processed the better. The closer to the actual soybean, the more apparent damage it can do.
