Isn't Harry Browne the guy that wrote an article right after the 9/11 attacks, essentially saying the U.S. was at fault, and that we deserved it?
Harry Browne never said the US deserved 9/11, merely that actions have consequences, and that the US can't go pushing the world around without expecting someone to sooner or later push back.
If a woman walks down a dark alley she doesn't deserve to get raped, but her foolish action was part of the chain of causality.
Moral deserts and causality are two different issues. Browne argued that US interventionist foreign policy brought on 9/11, but not that the people who died deserved it.
