Sorry, that was exactly the right response. First, it fires up the troops. Second, it's lets the enemy know that we are prepared to deal with them. That's a big edge in psychological warfare.

I agree... I'm a big fan of Bush's, but this quote will be red meat for his enemies. When you're not on the front lines, saying "bring em on" sounds chicken-hawkish.

The other part would be to get electricity and water back, put oil money in the pockets of average Iraqis, and set a timetable for elections and pullout. Otherwise, sooner or later, it's going to be Marine Quarters, Lebanon, all over again, and the Muslim world will have reason to hate us all the more.
