Possibly. But the idea this time around is that McGreevey screws up and we get Schundler. He's already working on building support for 2005. The only big question is whether the Republicans would rather commit sepuku again than have an oursider win.

I wasn't being facetious...NJ is trending Democrat....you can't ignore that....the historical pattern is that the dems screw up, then a Pubby gets elected, because the electorate votes AGAINST the Dem....not for the Pubby...Bell almost pulled it off against Bradley...Florio got clocked by Whitman becuase he broke his pledge, and McGrevey may follow James to the dog-house....we shall see...it could work for Schundler...because the swing voters wouldn't be voting FOR him...they'd be out to dump Jimmy..
