I started the Adkins diet

Does that diet really work? .. I'm still trying to lose a few from the last baby

Unfortunately, I think I've reached the age the I need to (gasp) exercise .. groan

It does, Mo! Actually, I followed a modified version as I haven't read the book. I ate all the meat, eggs, and cheese I wanted. Anything else I ate, I read the label - if there were no carbohydrates it was fair game. I was shocked to find no carbs in mayonnaise and butter. The only cheating I did was an occasional beer or glass of wine - red wine containing very few carbs per glass.

With unlimited quantites, it really wasn't like dieting at all.

Atkins is great, but you have to buy the book and read it, and not rely on hearsay.

If I had a nickel for everyone who has told me they "tried Atkins but gained weight" but thought they didn't need to read the book because they saw a 3 minute short on CNN about it... I'd have at least a buck fifty.
