The past four days have been hotter than usual. This place has such low humidity that you don't realize you're sweating - your sweat evaporates just as fast as it reaches the surface of any exposed skin, with minimal chance to cool you down. It would have been deadly to a pregnant woman.

Any time I'm driving around out of town I always keep at least a couple of gallons of water in the truck. If I'm out doing American Border Patrol things, I carry close to twenty gallons and enough powdered Gatorade to make four gallons of the magic electrolytes. Also two tent poles and a large tarp for a sunshade if needed. A very large first aid kit assembled under the watchful eye of a retired Special Forces medic. And a footlocker full of MREs and cooking supplies.

I do not need dead illegal aliens; I just want them to go home where they belong.
