That's not what the article from the A.P. I posted said. I saw the interview, he did not chuckle. One could certainly have taken him seriously. I thought it was an odd thing for him to say and waited for a punch line that didn't come.

Like I said, he seemed tired, not humorous.

One could just have easily have believed he was being politically wise in not discussing a possible relection in 2004 when he had barely begun his first time.

But, of course, people see what they want to see.
