You might want to pick up a Mason-Pearson hairbrush. They are expensive, but BOY are they worth it for long hair.

The brushes are kind of hard to find in the normal marketplace, but a high-end beauty supply company might have them, and I know they have a website from which you can order directly.

I've had mine for more than 30 years, and it is still in great shape.

I haven't had access to a boar bristle brush since I was 20 (no tellin'!) so I thank you for the info! I will definitely check it out. And, most likely, I'll succumb to the boar...I hope they have the brushes with wooden handles...:-)

Fuller still makes boar bristle brushes and I've seen them lately in Walgreens in the hair sections. Nothing works better.

Bed, Bath & Beyond carries Mason-Pearson. That's where I bought mine.
