Where's Ann Coulter? Why is Barnes & Noble hiding all copies of TREASON from their customers?

I bought my copy from my local independent when I saw a certain air-brushed Senator's face on her own lying tomes--"Where's the new Ann Coulter book" I said with a certain asperity to the gal in her artsy-fartsy getup.

They had just come in, and I got a fresh copy with a nice smile and good cheer from the merchant. Goes to show that you ought to think twice before judging a bookseller by her cover...(g).

BTW--Ann has written the coolest acknowledgements page I've ever READ!!

It was right in the front of the information kiosk at the Plymouth Meeting PA. store.

A poster on another thread (same topic)said that Wal-Mart wasn't going to carry the book, but didn't know/state why. I was stunned and wondered if it were true.

I don't know about Wal-Mart in particular, but Sam's Club definitely has it, and it's priced at $15 and change there.

On amazon.com, the lefties have put "Mein Kampf" as alternate recomendation for Anne's book. Bump up "The New Thought Police: Inside the Left's Assault on Free Speech and Free Minds" which is second the on recommendation list (ISBN 0761563733 )

Saem here in Denver. The B&N near me doesn't display the book, but the liars book from Hillary is up front.

Here in Houston, it was in Current Events, next to her other books (there was one copy of High Crimes and Misdemeanors, and one Slander). Three copies.

However, I didn't see Living History anywhere.

You could probably complain to B&N headquarters about that particular store. That might result in an inquiry coming down the chain and the regional manager popping in on that store to see what's going on.

You're motivated! Just driving thru Plymouth Meeting is nuts.

My great grandfather used to be the head herdsman on the Weidner(now Dixon Farm). We travel there from Wisconsin each year to buy champion breeding stock. I grew up in Chestnut Hill until my late twenties.

I miss the Chestnut Hill Stone and architecture, but that's about it! I'm really saddened by what's become of Plymouth Meeting, Montgomeryville, Flourtown, Militia Hill, Valley Forge, etc.....Talk about a sprawling mess of arss to elbow housing and traffic jams!

I recommend you contact corporate and bitch if you find that a particular "bricks and morter" store is hiding the book. Some are. And they definitely are not discounting it in the store even though it is a best seller. And in many stores they are not putting it in the best seller section. Since it IS a best seller on their dot.com site, and likewise on Amazon, I suggest you go here:

B&N Customer Service Help and send them a message concerning the particular store. Then call this number: 1-800-THE-BOOK (1-800-843-2665) and complain.

My city has many bookstores, so my solution is easy.

If Treason is not displayed with the other best sellers, I will NEVER go back to that bookstore. Our local mall bookstore did that with her last book and I haven't been back since that time.

What's going on here and what can we do?

Go to Barnes & Noble tomorrow and just try to find Treason without asking for assistance. I'm serious – I dare you (and please post your findings).

Agreed. I never alluded that this might be the case. All I'm saying is that "kneepad managers" at local B&N's are hiding the books because *they* themselves want to hid the books (not because there's a B&N policy to hide books; I don't believe there is an across-the-board B&N policy to hide certain books).
