I'll not forgive the lowlife dogs in the Senate who had a death watch on for Strom in the hopes they would regain the majority in the Senate.
They got their majority when Jeffords switched but in the end they lost the majority and will most likely not see another majority for decades.

What a disgusting display that was. Weren't Hillary and Leahy behind keeping the Senate in session till after midnight every night, hoping Strom would collapse on the floor?
A special place in Hell waits for Democrats.
Everyone needs to read Ann Coulter's new book. It'll keep you mad and you won't come away with that old "No difference between the parties" feeling.

Do you remember which senator would not let him be excused when he was on the verge of collapse in a very late session?
Seems a bi-partisan group was concerned about his health and one of the senators would not let Thurmond leave. Trying to speed the process, no doubt.
