You gotta love it that these Hollywierd types finally think they are getting in touch with their partisan side.

apart from the politics, can anyone imagine the Hildebeast trying to act as though she is not acting?
They probably nixed this idea when they realized Hilde would be terrible in the scene. Not to mention that Old Crusty would be a disaster.

She meets up with a tough congresswoman played by [democrat] Sally Field and befriends an arch conservative Southern senator...
"It was a big concern for us that we didn't want the movie to appear partisan or anything like that"
It is NOT partisan, and there is no southern stereotyping either. /sarcasm

If you're looking for a cute summer flick, the equivalent of a beach read, you might like "From Justin to Kelly."
It actually has a little moral to the story: promiscuity and shallowness are bad and not fun, respecting yourself is. You'll like it better if you followed American Idol I.
To: Fraulein
That's exactly what's so hilarious about this article---that they are even thinking that their partisan/stereotyping is not showing.

"It was a big concern for us that we didn't want the movie to appear partisan or anything like that," Witherspoon tells Zap2it.com."
Hahahaha! Sounds like the message is getting to the H'weirdos that the public is sick and tired of their leftist, socialist message. More than likely Clintoon demanded too much money for the cameo--more than Witherspoon was willing to pay. Didn't pay for the first one and have no plans to see the sequel.

Shed make a great stand in for Whoopie Goldberg if they remake the color purple.... The Color Black n Blue...or Bill's version To All The Goils I bit beat & raped loved before...

In "Sweet Home Alabama," the last Reese Witherspoon movie I saw, the villain was a democrat politician played by Candice Bergen.

Go see "A Mighty Wind". A great film that has nothing to do with Hitlery. LMFAO!

They know that SHillary will cost them MONEY.

"arch conservative"
It would seem too partisan????
I liked Reese Witherspoonbut she put politics into it. "Legally Blond 2" is a no go. Why in the world would this girl who seems to be on top want to torpedo her career?
I guess there's hope for these people since Al Gore's payoff cable network.
I sure hope Rush isn't thinking about joining them or giving them ideas.

I generally avoid mixing art and politics, and it is refreshing to see a "Hollywood type" do the same.
I don't look to actors or musicians for political leadership (with, of course, one notable exception [hint: The Gipper]), and I sure as hell don't appreciate political leaders giving me the song and dance routine. We have enough trouble with the less intelligent among us confusing artistic fancy with reality.
So if you'll pardon me, I think I'll go watch a George Clooney or Susan Sarandon movie (not Michael Moore ever, but because he just plain sucks, not because he's a Marxist schizo nutball), then maybe listen to some Chrissie Hynde or Dixie Chicks after that.
Heck, maybe I could even find a copy of Bedtime for Bonzo at Blockbuster. :^D
