BATEMAN confirms that between 20-35 Korean Civilians were inadvertantly hit by U.S. 7th Cavalry overnight Interdiciton Mortar Fires because of its constantly moving battallion perimeter due to constantly charging North Korean Army Movements against it during the opening weeks of the Korean War. Communist Army Enemy Movements that ended up nearly pushing U.S. Forces into the Sea in just weeks. Under these Combat circumstances, inadvertant non-combatant casualties were completely understandable.
