My lab is helping me. She reads lab and does a pretty good job of explaining it too me. She also does impersonations of other dogs. The Chesapeake Bay Retriever up the street gets very cofused when she impersonates him.

My Lab was raised with cats from an early age - we brought her home at 10 weeks and she has lived with three Siamese ever since.

She is fairly fluent in Siamese - it's hysterical to hear her meow - it comes out something like "arglebargleargleargleow." She also winds around my ankles when she wants her food. And she has learned from the cats to stalk squirrels and chipmunks rather than just run after them barking. She uses the edge of the deck and the gardenia bushes for cover, and slinks belly-down and elbows-up just like a cat. The end of her tail even twitches.

Since she is an only dog, she goes to "doggy day care" every Thursday so she doesn't forget how to be a dog!
