Wasn't it an old Guy Mitchell song, 'Standin' On The Corner' -
watchin' all the girls go byyyyyy...??
deadhead could sing it as,
'Standin' by the Bookstore' -
watchin'all the libs go byyyyy...:))
We love your dedication for the military out there on the West Coast, Dave, and introducing those Little Guys to what America is all about.
Here we go - {{{ A Marine Hugs A Sailor!! LOL }}}
Yes, it does sound catchy...LOL
deadhead could sing it as,
'Standin' by the Bookstore' -
watchin'all the libs go byyyyy...:))
LOL, I think this could catch on!
Sweet Maggie, you always bring a smile to my face, thank you!
Diver Dave, I would love to hear all about LST's. My Dad died when I was a young one and I have only recently (within the last 2 years) learned a lot about my Dad's Military History. Thanks to the internet, I tracked down Sailors that served with my Dad and remembered my Dad, even sent me photos of my Dad aboard the LST 568. One of my brothers followed my Dad's footsteps and joined the Navy, served aboard the USS Eisenhower.
P.S. Freeping Hillary was an experience I will never forget, was thinking of all freepers that fine evening :-)
