Schwarzenegger went on to become one of the world's biggest action movie stars with The Terminator series and such hits as Total Recall

Be fun if his next hit was Total Recall II: Dumping Davis.

Yeah, and he ought to just keep on running, too, straight into the Pacific. Keep this liberal RINO creep the hell away from office.

Arnold rules!!

He came to this country and embraced it with a passion rarely seen.

I really consider him a hero.

First of all, he's no Ronald Reagan. I'd prefer someone of substance, with a proven track record, as opposed to some icon! As a matter of fact, I'm not likely to vote for anyone, who has the implicit endorsement of Richard Riordan! California needs a "real," conservative, Republican, the likes of Tom McClintock, to set the record straight in this time of crisis. Even a novice, such as, Bill Simon is preferrable to the best, that the so-called moderates have to offer!

No single personality is needed. I don't like that as a stance.

God doesn't choose the qualified. God qualifies the chosen.

Davis would resign long before an election, keeping his party in the Governor's seat. Bank on it.

I HATE to do this to y'all, but here are a couple of predictions, based on early indicators and analysis:

a. Grayout Davis will DEFINITELY be OUT as CA Gov come November;.... BUT

b. The next Governor will be Cruz Bustamante (following Davis' 11th hour resignation in light of polls showing he will be recalled by a 20-point margin.

Don't like to rain on y'all's parade, but right now, no Dems seem to be running - which further indicates the likelihood of the above option.

Yes, there will be satisfaction in getting rid of Davis - but let's not get our hopes up about getting a GOP-er in as Guv this year.

It ain't gonna happen. Not unless Davis decides to take the Dem party down with him (and you know they'll grease his palm to make him go away quietly.)

Cordially,

Al

I was surprised to find out that Arnold has a graduate business degree ( MBA?)

From a FoxNews interview of Riordan:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/930811/posts

SNOW: Well, you've seen up close and personal the kind of divides within the Republican Party in California. And again, a lot of Republicans here in Washington say, oh, my, who can pull that party together? You appear to think that Arnold Schwarzenegger may be the guy.

RIORDAN: Well, Arnold, he is a moderate, but doesn't come across as a moderate and he is a strong businessman. He has a graduate business degree from the University of Wisconsin. I've been involved in business transaction with him and he is a super doer. And he has a lot discipline, the kind of discipline that politicians need.

SNOW: Do you think he's the kind of guy -- he's never run for office, although his political leanings have been well known. Do you think he's the kind of guy, A, who would run that kind of campaign throughout the entire state. And B, really could take the heat in a political campaign, where as you know things can get pretty ugly.

RIORDAN: I think he can. He's surrounded himself with the smartest staff people to help run a campaign. He is a very disciplined person. Certainly, you know, there are things that come from left field that you never anticipated in your life that just blow you aside. But I think he'll be able to take those.

My county clerk has just advised us that she has been notified by the CA Secretary of State's Office that the recall effort against Gov. Gray Davis, has qualified for the ballot. After signatures are verified statewide, the Secretary of State's Office will call an election, with possible election dates of November 2003 or March 2004 being considered.

Just for the record, Sonny Bono was a Republican.

He's running as a modified, high-spending, pro-abortion RAT or RINO, but he has zero experience and no credibility. He may win thanks to the asininity of leftist CA voters and celebrity chasers.

I don't think he would be good. Rumors of womanizing and fears of Rino votes... nope, not too good.
