Good Morning, Billie! Yes, it's been a bad weekend for lots of people...Summerhaven is a retirement/vacation community with lots of part-time residents and some wonderfully quaint businesses. I've never been there, but the descriptions remind me of Cloudcroft in NM. All of the businesses on the main street were damaged, two were destroyed. Over 250 homes burned to the ground.

The good news is that the fire is burning down the back side of the mountain into terrain and vegetation that will make fighting it easier.

Yes, it is a tragedy that so many homes were lost, but if it's about to be contained now, then that is good news.
