{We need the opportunity to drive legally," said Rolando Campos, of Solana Beach. "We all need to be able to drive."}
I thought most CA cities accept the Mexican ID cards as valid forms of ID for a variety of social services such as welfare, opening bank accounts, and driving. If Mexican ID cards are valid ID forms, then why the urgent rush for CA driver licenses?

If Mexican ID cards are valid ID forms, then why the urgent rush for CA driver licenses? Because they know all states accept driver's licenses of other states as proof of legal residency and citizenship and also because it's all you need to make it over the legal ports of entry when coming back from a visit to Mexico. You can be as illegal as you can be.....but with that drivers license, you're going to be passed right on by.

Just another step in the orchestrated plan by the Mexican government and aided by anti-American politicians sympathetic to the cause, to support Mexico's terminally corrupt system. They will circumvent our immigration laws and make the 9 million illegal aliens here legal residents. After all, if these illegals were back home they might upset the nice little apple-cart down there that keeps the light skinned minority in power while the rest of the citizens are kept under the boot. And why not have the American taxpayer foot the bill.

"We all need to be able to driveThis is not about driving, it is about the other benefits they might be able to latch onto by having a California drivers license. Escondido is less than one hour's drive from Tijuana. If they want to drive legally, they can go to the Baja DMV and get Mexican licenses, which are recognized as valid by local police and CHP.
