WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush, trying again to explain the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, said on Saturday that suspected arms sites had been looted in the waning days of Saddam Hussein's rule.
"For more than a decade, Saddam Hussein went to great lengths to hide his weapons from the world. And in the regime's final days, documents and suspected weapons sites were looted and burned," Bush said in his weekly radio address.

Hit your "muther_jerk_upon_FreeRepublic" button..;;; Go ahead and get me banned just because you disagree with me.

What makes you think, Americans are dead"?
To: Steel Wolf
All that's true, and it's good. However, at some point there's going to have to be an accounting of the WMD's, and if they aren't found, the President will either have to explain where they went, or explain how everyone over the past dozen years got the intelligence analysis so incredibly wrong.
If that's the case, he'll get blamed for something that's not exclusively his screwup, but he's the one on watch, and that's where the buck stops.

Go ahead and get me banned just because you disagree with me. Geez, Buckeroo - I don't think I ever tried that. I think.
But if you don't want to drop in the "jerk" bin, you might try a bit of coherence and rationality. I know you have it in you ;).

One of the problems within America is because of folks like you. Not only do you believe in government, you also believe in the news about government.
To: Buckeroo
you also believe in the news about government. You mean, like the news you posted making non-verifiable claims about the status of the WMD findings?

To: Buckeroo
ever listen to the liar driving our nation into oblivion? Yes, just the other day I was reading the State Department's recruitment site to Islam. And before that I was reading some Paki islamic going on about spreading knowledge of Mohammed in America.
Actually, he seems to be a defense contractor. Would you happen to know him, Buckeroo? I think you might ;). Maybe you have intimate knowledge of America's oblivion, no?
Does it gnaw on you?

I believe we have engaged in a risky geopolitical gambit.
But if it eventually brings peace to the region who cares.
I don't think the WMD is an issue to most americans, but
the US image in the world is at stake here.
To: Cachelot
If you base your argument for war because iraq
have the capabilities to build wmd and use them Canada
is much more of a threat then, since they can make
a nuke in a few months if they wanted too. :)
you never can tell with those canucks especially since
they've legalized weed. Maybe we should just annex them now.
To: Cachelot
You don't get it, do you? You just don't get ot.
To: Aldrian Hagh
If you base your argument for war because iraq To be precise, I haven't argued for the war in this thread. I have just said that the original thesis of the thread poster - that there are (and were) no WMD's in Iraq and that this is a known fact - is nonsense. That said, the war was plenty justified even without those.
Canada is much more of a threat
Actually, Canada is a threat. And a WMD producer, at one point in time. Did you know they were the first country in the world to have an industrial-scale production of Anthrax?
They're not any more friendly to the US than France or Mexico. If nothing changes in the next few years, you may see hot conflict with them.

So what do you want me to say? That there is no God but Allah, and that Mohammed is his Prophet? Is that what you must sell, Buckeroo? A Kaliphate, if you can get it?

What makes you think that the American government is friendly towards the Ameican People?
To: Buckeroo
towards the Ameican People Which ones? The Islamics? The incoherents? The Nazists? The LF "libertarians"? The A.N.S.W.E.R?
Lol. So many to be unfriendly to. So little time.
