The staff at the Book Revue bookstore in Huntington made it abundantly clear: There would be no personal autograph messages, no posing for photos, nothing that might delay the book signing for even a second or two.
"It's going to be like an assembly line," a staffer told one woman, rejecting her request to have the author use the woman's pen. The haste left little time for a warm encounter with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton as she signed copies of her new book, "Living History," Friday evening.
< SNIP >
"She even commented on my hat," she said. "She said to me, 'I love your hat,' which I thought was so sweet. She's a lovely lady."
But no Clinton event would seemingly be complete without the the anti-Hillary crowd. About a half-dozen protesters from the Internet site stophillary.net held a large banner that read "V.I.P. Hillary: Vicious Insufferable Phony."

"I am thrilled and flattered that so many people came out to the Book Revue tonight," Clinton said through a spokesperson. "I am glad I got a chance to spend a few moments talking with all the people who waited so patiently."I love it: the queen said how much she enjoyed talking to the little people through a spokesperson. Priceless; and the World's Dumbest Paper (Newsday from Long Island) doesn't even get the irony.

On Newsday.com there's a video!
View it quick before they realize what they've done! They've actually shown both sides instead of their usual biased reporting. I'm amazed!

Firebrand will be posting the Freep story later.
Wait until you hear who our special visitor was!!!!!!
The reporter who wrote the Newsday article spent a lot of time with us and was a nice guy.
Pictures of the "mystery" visitor and others taken by Deadhead and Nickyg should be up later as well.

Gotta love Newsday for their attempt to campaign for Hitchary with their headline. Notice it says nothing about her book. Just that she's "worth the wait." Should it be "worth using as a paperweight" instead?

"I Love Hillary -- I don't care about the truth," a woman shouted from the open window of a minivan on New York Avenue in Huntington, Long Island, New York on Friday night.
Former first lady Hillary Clinton had a pretty good turn out for her book signing -- Book Revue of Huntington, Long Island was packed to capacity on Friday.
However, protestors were not too fond of the fact that Hillary was in town to support her book.
Talk Radio legend Bob Grant of WOR710 in New York interviewed Carl Limbacher and I as protestors shouted "Buy the next book, who's watching Bill, buy the next book, who's watching Bill."
Protestor Lisa Stripp was in complete disgust about the arrival of Hillary. When asked how she felt about Hillary running for President she was quick to say "Bring her on." She went on to comment that "very few times do you know where she is."
Raul Deming another protestor said, "I would like to see her President
of Cuba..."
