No, it probably means that he is either gay or asexual. If I had a son that was 33, and had been celibate for 10 years, during his sexual prime, I'd think there was something wrong with him. Most men that choose to be celibate for religious reasons end up getting married very young.

Seems the focus is a little askew. Being sexually active with someone can mess with one's head and heart and prevent one from thinking clearly. It also seems to push things into a pattern where it is something then expected from the relationship on a regular basis. There is a reason why the Lord said it should stay inside of marriage. IMHO

There's another possibility....there are people who find it very difficult, or even impossible, to form relationships, either because of social phobia or for other reasons. Doesn't sound like this guy is in that category, but many are.
