Yes, Jim, FR is "too Republican."

I know your last post about keeping the faith, staying the course, and voting (R) in order to get conservatives into office, and that's all great, but just any old guy/gal with (R) after their name can really screw things up.

FR denounces any (I) or (D) who are good conservatives. There are a few, but they get shouted down if not (R). Not good.

We are Americans first, Republicans second, conservatives always. I voted for a (D) and an (I) in the last election because they were far better than the (R) choice. Both were excellent people and many FReepers thought so. I said I voted for them and got pounded because they weren't (R).

Not all conservatives are (R) and not all (R) are conservative.

I still love FR and enjoy the people and the environment. So, no serious harm done, just a bad trend happening.

I'm in favor of the "Republican" label. "Conservative" denotes extremism. The extremism tag is not popular and is not widely respected. Let's strive for even more credibility.

Allowing extremists, fanatics, conspirators, disrupters, and assorted kooks and wackos into the forum results in major massacres, making it very difficult to maintain control. However, great progress has been made since the moderators were ensconced.

I'm still against gang-flagging and keeping daily running threads on the "News/Activism" forum. But if the practice is worthwhile, then....

To All: Please edit and double check your thread titles before posting. The numerous punctuation, spacing, grammatical, and spelling errors cause me to cringe and leave a bad impression with visitors.
