LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) --National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said Thursday that the Palestinian Authority and Israel must work as partners to thwart the cycle of violence erupting in Jerusalem and Gaza and vowed that "there is not going to be any pass for Palestinian leadership in fighting terror."

Are you comparing getting individual operatives in Europe to getting armed leaders on their home turf in a heavily armed enemy area....by secret agents.

Maybe it would work if there was one target every three or four years.

Mossad tried and failed a rather simple operation with a Hamas leader in Jordan several years ago.

This is getting stale.

The US learned Israeli tactics and used them both in Yemen and on an even larger scale in Iraq.

Then they criticize and threaten Israel for the same actions.

The Bush Administration's hypocrisy disgusts me.

Yeah, whatever. People like you are easily disgusted. I met a lot of people just like you who were disgusted during the run up to Afghanistan. All the whiners who believed we weren't doing anything just because they weren't bright enough to figure out that plans were being laid. I also met a lot of people just like you who were whining about Bush in the run up to Iraq, they were still whining when the sandstorms hit and everyone was saying there were no plans. Of course, three days later we took Baghdad.

So you whine all you want, and believe what the papers are saying, and believe Bush doesn't have a plan and believe that Bush is going to break his word. Make sure you end all your posts with "Bush is going to be a one term president" or "I'll never vote for him again". Then you'll look as silly as the others when you have egg all over your face.

Let me get this straight. You're saying that Isreal does NOT have a great intelligence agency? You're saying that the Israelis are incompetent? You're saying the only way they can fight terrorists is if they copy our tactics? That's fine if they have a big enough military to take on Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, france, Germany, and Russia. Do they?

Shock and Awe was to keep people entertained and distracted while the troops were speeding through 300 miles of desert. It was to distract while the SF guys were taking over the skud boxes in order to protect Israel.

Oh please. Don't go trying to attack me. I've been on this site too long and everyone knows where I stand on Israel. You guys keep going after the old timers here and you'll do nothing but make enemies for yourself AND your cause.

You have enough real enemies without trying to turn friends into new ones.

So I suggest you think long and hard before you try to pull that crap on me.

The statement that the Palis and Istrael must become partners is an example of fantasy replacing reality. Why can't these socialists recognize the fact that countries can be competitors and don't need to become partners in order to live peacefully?

Rice: Israel and Palestinian Authority must work as partners

"Ok, since you so-called Palestinians screwed us again, we think you should be "partners" from now on.

In the "partnership" the IDF will play the role of "Marksman."

PLO, you'll be what we call "Targets!"

Won't this be fun!!!

Send in the Mossad.

Send in the MOAB, they don't miss. If you can fire 7 missiles into a car and it still looks like a car, you are shooting far too stinking small missiles. They are trying to reduce casualties by reducing the payload. A mistake IMHO. Collateral damage happens. Missing is inexcusable. When over 80% of them agree with blowing up buses, they are not collateral damage, they are bonus points, and have lost all rights to complain when what they celebrate is visited back on them.

When they decry the murder of innocents as a valid political tool, then and only then will I apply the standard on accidental deaths in a valid strike at a military target. If Jewish and American civilians are military targets to them, then to cry foul when Arabs die as accidents, is only a cold calculated propaganda move to further shield their killers.

They declared war, peace will come when they get it back.

Yep, that's true AI but in the meantime Isreal is getting further and further isolated not just in the area but in europe as well. Why give them the ammunition when they can accomplish the same thing quietly? Why antagonize people while Bush is trying to convince the world that Hamas is the bad guys? Why fall into their trap AGAIN?

Islam declared war on the world. Fortunately, we, and ISRAEL, declared victory before we went into defensive offense.

People bashing Bush still don't seem to realize what a master of strategy he is, and also don't seem to realize that Israel is following the Bush doctrine to the nth degree.

Doesn't anyone find it even remotely coincidental that while Israel was fighting Hamas in a clearly public manner, we invaded and destroyed 3 terrorist camps, (2 in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan,)and had several crackdowns all over Iraq?)

One of those camps hit with 2,000 pounders was on the border with Syria. We are hard at work in the Phillipines, and Powell just ADDED Hizbollah to his gotta go list. Gotta go through Israel, Lebanon, and straight on to Syria.

Also, Jordan is almost screechingly silent. The Saudis are massively irritated and will have to actually choose which one of the *family* disappears*, and Iran is a revolution beginning to happen.

What more can you ask from one human being?

Powell is shortly on his way to shut the Eu up in no nonsense terms. They don't have, and probably never will again, the moral authority to condemn Israel no matter what they say or how many times they kiss Arafat's ring. He is nobody, (thanks to Bush,) and the Eu is nothing, thanks to Bush. And it isn't over yet.

A Love Bush or leave the US post.

There is a huge difference between disagreement and "disgust", as you put it. I disagree with the Bush administration on a number of issues but their actions and positins do not "disgust" me. I may disagree but I believe the President and his administration are making decisions in the best interests of the American people as they see it. Perhaps your "disgust" is predicated on a loyalty to interests outside the United States and when those interests diverge you become "disgusted".

Rice: Israel and Palestinian Authority must work as partners

EARTH TO CONDI: Did you hear what Abbas said? He outright refused to use ANY force WHATSOEVER against Hamas. Period. So you can either continue to live in your fairy-land, or get back to reality and support Israel in its war "to the death" against Hamas. Stop wasting your breath slamming Israel, and start slamming Syria and Saudi Arabia, the enablers and funders of Hamas, who always seem to get away without so much as a rebuke from this increasingly stupid White House.
