This thread about Joseph Subic Jr of the Iranian Hostage Crisis is an early example of the tide of government “turncoatism” which has since apparently enveloped DC (John Boehner promoting Nancy Pelosi legislation being just the latest example).
Another interesting parallel: The “For the People” radio service by Chuck Harder was for many years also based in White Springs, Florida. Chuck Harder to this day maintains his conservative talk radio organization was infiltrated and bankrupted by the Clintons who were at the time espousing some of the same anti-gun rhetoric we’re hearing today.
