Do you remember the Zantop murders a couple of years ago? The two Darthmouth professors who were stabbed in their home?
I kept waiting for that trial and put the date in my calendar a year in advance so I could watch it. I wanted to know why two teenagers would buy hunting knives on eBay and go from door to door until someone let them in ... and then stab two strangers to death.
They were traced through the knife purchase and kept the knives. But I was CRUSHED when just one day before the trial which I had waited so long for, the younger kid cut a deal and then the other one did. There was never a trial and I never got to find out the motivation. :-(
