I hope America's 85% of the press corps, liberal reporters, seriously are doing some soul searching right now.

Let's put it this way: CNN knew what Saddam was doing to people in Iraq and looked the other way. All of that has become yesterday's news. Nobody is talking about it anymore. Just wait a year, and you'll see Howell Raines back in some high position in the media.

In a new reconstituted version along with Doris Kearns Goodwin, that basketball announcer, and so many others.

(tho I admit to a grudging fondness for the toe sucker)

Where do we go to get a refund?

I am referring to Hillary's new book, of course. And not that I need a refund. Too well informed. You see I watched TV last night. But it wasn't Larry King. It was Fox News.

A very credible woman described a brutal rape she was subjected to over 20 years ago. A woman whose story was corroberated shortly after the assault. A woman who was "found" by those investigating obstruction of justice. A woman they just happened to stumble on. A woman that gave personal testimony of a brutal rape by then-Attorney General Bill Clinton.

Most importantly, and later, a woman that fell upon Hillary's knowing glare. This accompined by a Sopranno-like death grip, a squeeze so hard she could not let go. Not until Hillary personally thanked her for not ratting on her rat husband.

Its called omerta in Italy. In Arkansas, its called a reminder to mind one's business.

Can you spell accomplice?

Her name is Juanita Broaddrick. And the more detailed part of her story rests inside the Ford Building in Washington, DC. It will remain there for 46 or so more years. Unless, of course, someone inside the media decides its time to follow-up.

And now that the better part of her story is out maybe the Paper of Record will take time from stroking the mooses, and get to work on a real investigation.

But if you run to the news stand tomorrow, only to find it more about Hillary and nothing about Juanita, here's a little mischievious advice:

Next time you are in one of those big bookstores, grab a copy of Hillary's book - and move it from the non-fiction section over to fiction.

You'll be doing history a big favor, and helping prevent your bookstore from a faulty labeling lawsuit.
