From a blub about a speaking engagement Estrich had:
She brings passion and a sense of humor and honesty to her audiences. A veteran of four presidential campaigns, one divorce, a mother of two, the author of five books, number 57 on the list of the most influential public intellectuals of the century, a rape victim, an expert on the criminal justice system and professor at USC, a regular on Politically Incorrect, a former talk radio host, she understands power, politics and punditry.
.....wrote a bestseller (Sex & Power, about how power is divided between the genders in America) and many other books (Real Rape, Getting Away with Murder: How Politics is Destroying the Criminal Justice System, Dealing with Dangerous Offenders); was appointed by President Clinton to the National Holocaust Council and by Republican Mayor Richard Riordan of Los Angeles to the Ethics Commission.

OMG! I just realized who Clift reminds me of - or rather the Hollywood caricature. Think of all of those sour puss pictures of old-maid women in the old westerns. Usually sitting in the heat in a buggy and grousing about something. They always look like they've been sucking sour lemons.

Unlike most of the liberals, Susan does not seem to be one that spends all day trying to make herself miserable. Eleanor, and many others, make themselves look far less attractive by looking bitter and angry at the world (I'm not saying she would be a beauty queen or anything, but losing the sour expression would make her less, well, miserable looking).

"
It would be unimaginable to me if any of those closest to me was a rape victim."
I have brought down an elk at 500 yrds with one shot on more than one occasion. You never know when the time comes to cross that line in the sand...

Just heard Howard Fineman say Hillary is "Nixonian" in her book depiction (of herself). Margaret Carlson stumbled over herself in saying that there is no mention of Juanita Broderick in Hillary's book: "who accused her husband of...here she stumbles for the word rape and says ..."assault." All on Capitol Gang, I believe.

Dearest Juanita, I remember a thread on FR before you did the Lisa Myers interview. I was on that thread and along with many others, we begged you to tell your story. And you did. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know the path you walk and know how hard it is to lay it on the line knowing you will be slimed and life will never be the same. But just as I said to you then, a rapist must be exposed. The best result is conviction, but at the least, you may save someone esle the same fate because they have been put on notice...the rapist has been forever identified.
I believed you even before your Lisa Myers interview and have never doubted you. Your honesty and honor shine brightly.
You done good, girl! Hold your head high and walk with pride. May God bless you and yours, always.
In highest regards~~~Dell

I thought the woman murdered was in Ron Brown's Commerce Bldg.

She was not murdered. Someone who knew her went out of the way to contact me. She was very ill. No foul play.

Doug & Juanita:
Thanks for fighting the good fight. Stalin is only a few million murders ahead of "Hilla the Dread". Give her time.
She scares the hell out of me.
To: joesnuffy; EastCoast
Dont forget the young woman murdered in the white house... As far as the FR board knows, Barbara Wise was not murdered. Her body was found in an office of the Commerce Department.
To: an amused spectator
"I know that they are trying to gain control of information on the Net (it is my belief that they've already gotten to Google)."
I concur.
To: doug from upland
Good to hear that she wasn't murdered because that door locked from the inside was a mystery to me. Never heard any more about the case after that.

So it seems that Bill's mistress scored bigger ratings than his 'wife.' Monica's interview with Baba scored 49 million viewers, Hillary's Baba interview was 13 million.

Why do you think they have gotten ahold of google? I don't disagree with your thoughts, but this is mind boggling to me, why google? I first found Free Republic in early 1997 through Google. I'm a computer programmer and query expert, and I've noticed that it's harder to get hits on articles I know are out there when searching with Google.
They've done a lot of the "thinning" with "copyright infringement concerns".
