Dear Word, You are always so angry I fear posting to you.
No way I'm angry with you. I offer my apologies if you feel that way.
I'm angry with the same old counterproductive US piping the same tune.
EU will make most of it mocking US in every possible way, France will be leading the pack. Doesn't Bush love himself to give them a weapon against him personally beside the fact that he was never popular there? While in Israel ironically Bush is popular among lefties of all sorts.

And as a result, if he does not return to be the George W. Bush we once admired, he too will be a one-term president

I am increasingly amused by one-issue people who say this mantra as though it actually means something......

I would suggest this to those of you who are so agitated against the President on this particular issue.

PRAY for him. He is on his knees every day asking for wisdom from God for the decisions he must make.

If you think he's missing the message, pray that he will hear what (you think) God is telling him.

I do not hate Bush, I still like him. I just do not trust or respect him

Not possible.

Clinton is evil but I do not see him as the anti-christ. The anti-christ is described as a man who has no love for woman.

Clinton doesn't love women. Oh he lusts after them, but that's hardly the same thing.

I asked the question before the election about why supporting Bush was better than supporting Gore. Gore was an idiot, but would he have forced this upon Israel?

I want my conservative friends to tell me how Bush is better.

Quite possible, "love the sinner, hate the sin". Not only possible, but commanded.

We'd still be negotiating with the Taliban and Saddam.

You'd have Hillary as ambassidor to Israel.

US sanctions would already have been imposed on Israel.

I have to respectfully disagree.-

You are correct in that we would have never gone into Afganistan or Iraq, however the same lack of resolve would have been present in our relationship with Israel as well.

Hillary would still be in congress, and Gore would have done little to either encourage or coerce Israel. There would have been no road map and no pressure to negotiate with the Arabs.

I believe that Gore would have used Liberman (in every sense of the word "used"). Israeli arms would have been twisted. Assuming that Sharon would be PM you would have seen "less rope" given. Tipper would have been caught by candid mike in at least one "FJB" moment.

I sensed no FJB moments from tipper. One never knows in these things, but I would not see it that way. Also, Lieberman would have been inefectual as a VP. Gore was inefective and would be powerless in the middle east.

Meanwhile, Bush junior is beginning to look and sound like his father when it comes to Israel. Jewish blood seems cheap.

a. Mr. Bush is a born-again Methodist who believes in “replacement theology”; i.e., the Christians have replaced the Jews as God’s Chosen People and is therefore against Jewish hegemony in the Holy Land (this, according to several leading Evangelical Christian leaders who reject “replacement theology”);

Oh no way is that a possibility!

I will now trundle off to bed - leaving you with this cheery thought and ray of hope for the status quo. . .

After today's botched assasination attempt I am deeply discouraged. The radicals have "won". Yesha is safe.
