You're in GOP country, my friend. How do the signups compare in the liberal coastal counties?

You're in GOP country, my friend. How do the signups compare in the liberal coastal counties?1) State wide we are WAY ahead of schedule.
2) The left-leaning democrats in Bakersfield are signing up faster than I would have thought.

Gray Davis won't resign. He has all of Clinton's huge ego and none of the likeability.

Gray Davis won't resign. He may come under unusually tremendous pressure from his party because it would help the leftists keep the Governorship.

He has no love for them and I don't see why he would help them out when they have done nothing to help him fend off that recall drive.

This recall effort, although admirable, is flawed. There is no doubt in my mind that Gray Davis has done nothing but harm the state, but I have issues with this.
Gray Davis was legally re-elected to office. An after-the-fact collective "oops" by those who either didn't vote for him, or did not vote at all, is a little questionable in my book.
Maybe larger voter turnout would have been a better solution at the time of election, thus preventing his re-election.
To: Conservative Me
Recall is a legal and time-honored tradition in California. Davis lied big time to the voters to eek out a narrow re-election victory where Simon was demonized like Goldwater in 1964. By 1966, a large share of LBJ voters were ready to switch, but nationwide there is no recall machinery on the legal books.
In California there is. Even if another RAT replaces Davis, for once, re-election will not be a free pass to four more years of lies and deception. For once, a lowlife will be held accountable in a non-election year. Bring on the recall and God bless the author for helping them do so. Doofus Davis has got to go!

Great work. I'm starting to see petition people everywhere. How about the Orange County swapmeet on Sunday?

Thank you for what you're doing. I've signed up all my neighbors and friends, probably sent in about six petitions and have one full one in my purse that needs to be mailed in. But I can't compare to your effort. Way to go!

Gray Davis was legally re-elected to office.1) He is being legal recalled according to California law.
2) He did not receive a majority of the votes cast in the election (49%).
3) The recall is the greater good in accord with God's law, observed by myself and others. Davis has abrogated his right to be governor by his supprt of anti-biblical/anti-moral statutes and regulations (abortion/gay "rights", violation of religious liberty, etc.)
"An after-the-fact collective "oops" by those who either didn't vote for him, or did not vote at all, is a little questionable in my book."
There is no "oops" coming from the millions of voters who voted for someone else---millions more voted against Davis than are signing petitions.

How about the Orange County swapmeet on Sunday? That's a great idea, doug! I may check to see if there are some swap meets in Fresno and Bakersfield.
