I'm reading a book about the cultural revolution of China during the early 1970's. In many ways, the Clinton years of dumbing down the reasoning ability of the populus, double-think propaganda, and torture of those who opposed the "ruling" party share greater similarity with China that one might suspect. Glad those jerks are gone, for the moment, at least.
