US Deports Thousands of Arabs and Muslims

Putting into practice an anti-terror method suggested by the "Elon Plan," more than 13,000 Arab and Muslim men with ties to terrorism are being deported from the United States.

US Deports Thousands of Arabs and Muslims More than 13,000 Arab and Muslim men are being deported from the United States, according to US government officials cited by the New York Times.

Deportation has become an integral part of the United States’ ‘War on Terror.’ Officials say more than 600 Arabs and Muslims were deported during a first wave of expulsions soon after the September 11th terror attacks in New York and Washington, DC. The US Justice Department has stopped releasing figures after the number of arrested immigrants surged to 1,200, and officials now decline to give complete statistics for that time period.

Although a majority of Americans support actions taken to prevent terrorist attacks, various human rights organizations have condemned the practice of expulsion. "What the government is doing is very aggressively targeting particular nationalities for enforcement of immigration law," said Lucas Guttentag, director of the immigrants' rights project at the American Civil Liberties Union. "The identical violation committed by, say, a Mexican immigrant is not enforced in the same way."

Deportation has long been suggested as an effective tool in Israel's own fight against terrorism, but has yet to be put into practice in the current Oslo War. Minister of Tourism, Rabbi Benny Elon includes the concept in his recently released alternative to the “Road Map” which can be viewed at TheRightRoadToPeace.com.. In Article 2 of ‘Key Principles,’ the Elon Plan demands: “Terrorists and their direct supporters will be deported.”

Although not given much attention by Israel's government run mainstream press, Elon’s Plan was prominently featured in May 18th's New York Times in an article by James Bennet entitled, “Crossing Jordan; The Exit That Isn't On Bush's Road Map.”

To Massachusetts?

I was thinking more along the lines of 'from Massachusetts.' But I'm sure there's room for compromise.

A drop in the bucket; I haven't noticed any shortage of them around here.

But don't get me wrong, I'll take what I can get.

"The identical violation committed by, say, a Mexican immigrant is not enforced in the same way."

Too true, so why don't you focus your energies there? We need to clean up that part of the problem too.

"It never mentions tha all of those being deported have expired visas or are in one way or another staying here illegally."

Aren't you forgetting that groups such as the ACLU think that, legal or illegal, all the riff raff in the world has a right to be here....well, as long as they're not white and can likely be persuaded to vote democrat?

Why not make Lucas Guttnberg happy, and enforce "the identical violation committed by, say, a Mexican immigrant, in the same way?" Sounds fair to me.

The thing is, I don't know why there are ANY Arab faces in the crowd since 9/11. Instead of focusing on placating American terrorists'"rights" groups and trying to "understand" Islam and why they hate us and expending resources on Islamic propaganda via PBS and the public schools, we should have been putting the resources to better use to get them the h*ll out, followed by slamming the door shut to any new arrivals post haste. I hate to say it, but this country isn't the brightest bulb in the package when it comes to setting priorities.
