How typical of most of these Politicians, it's all about them!!!
I was very disappointed that on Friday, June 6th, D-DAY, there was not one war movie on, nothing really on the History Channel to remind us of this important Day.
What in the "HELL" has happened that the TV Programmers don't bother to mention or more importantly program shows about these important dates in our history?
It seems to me that too many people won't to forget or more importantly are grossly ignorant of the important dates in
our country's history. How terribly sad!!!

Perhaps I was watching a different History Channel; 3 hour specials about D-Day with Stephen Ambrose which ran all week and their evening programming last night featured in-depth looks at the British 9th Parachute batallion and the Navy demolitions crews who took out the obstacles before the rest of the troops went ashore. There was a bunch more that I missed but I know it was on. You were right about the other channels not having diddly squat on though. I was expecting "The Longest Day" on AMC for certain!

It could be that "The Greatest Generation" has turned so many people off in so many ways, that people are reluctant to honor them much. You know, the generation that rolled over for FDR, didn't do a lick to address segregation in the south, and have complained almost nonstop for the last 30 years or more for their own brand of welfare. Yep, they have turned a lot of younger people off.
