I would politely ask you to read the book about Eisenhower titled "The Politician" and learn about just "how" Ike made his meteoric rise in the military, then see if those facts change your thoughts about whether Ike "earned" his military positions... While you're reading, check out Ike's decision to "repatriate" some POWs we held, sending them to their certain death. This was not the act of a great man, regardless of his record as POTUS.
