WHY did he choose (if he did it, which seems likely) Christmas Eve? That too.
And, although I know this rubs you the wrong way, that is one reason why Amber "fits" the bill for me. She has no husband to be with her on Christmas. I can *imagine* how her motive might be stronger than ever on Christmas Eve.
But for Scott to do that, at that time, talk about heartless. Worse than heartless. I just can't conceive of it. The horrific poetry of it just baffles me.

Back from the recesses of my mind, I have just recalled that I read "somewhere" that most/many adulterers are "found out" by their spouses on or near holidays. Seems that the "other woman" (or man,,,I'm trying to be PC)becomes more demanding of the spouses' time during the holidays.
I can see this happening in this case.
