People are scared but they say they can't wait for July 9th for the demonstrations to start. REza Pahlavi lives here in Los Angeles and broadcasts a program to Iran (or used to) funded by Iranian-Americans. But, as to your post, what is the symbolism of July 9th? Is it a political holiday?
It is the anniversery of the bloody attack on the students by the hardliners a few years ago. Many died. Many more imprisoned.
