Agreed. It would have been better just to say that they had philosophical differences, that he wanted to take his show into a different direction in the market, spend more time with his family! (hee hee)

Or just the truth, that he wanted to come to terms with them in his contract renewal, but they weren't able to reach a mutually agreeable decision. I could accept that. But this "technical difficulty" stuff? Minor league stuff.

Sorry, wrong again.

Savage was the consumate pro to not disclose his contract negotiations. In fact, there's probably a non-disclosure clause, and he most likely not allowed to discuss it on the air.

But contrary to your suggestion, ranting about his contract negotiations on the air would have been "minor league stuff."
